Replacement Pads

Three pad types are available for the Polystar range — the 15-inch microfibre cleaning pad (suits PS-001, $19), the 13-inch polishing pad (suits PS-001, $25), and the 15-inch cotton scrubbing pad (suits PS-015, $35). Pads are wear items — they lose effectiveness as the fibres compress and wear through regular use. Replacing pads when performance drops restores the machine's cleaning and polishing results. Using the correct pad for the task matters — the polishing pad on a surface that needs scrubbing, or a scrubbing pad on a polished floor, will underperform or potentially damage the floor finish.

Water Tank Set

The Polystar Water Tank Set ($160) is available here as a separate accessory for operators who purchased the base machine without the tank and want to add wet scrubbing capability. The water tank set fits both the PS-001 and PS-015 models and allows the machine to dispense cleaning solution while operating, converting it from a dry polisher and buffer into a wet scrubber.

How often do Polystar pads need replacing?

Pad replacement frequency depends on usage intensity and the surfaces being cleaned. Microfibre and cotton pads used on rough or heavily soiled floors wear faster than those used on smooth, lightly soiled surfaces. The indicator that replacement is needed is reduced cleaning or polishing performance — if the machine is no longer achieving the result it did with a new pad, the pad is due for replacement.

Can I use third-party pads on a Polystar machine?

Generic floor pads in the correct diameter may physically fit the Polystar, but pad quality and attachment system compatibility varies. Using a pad that doesn't attach securely causes uneven cleaning and can damage floor surfaces. For consistent results, genuine Polystar pads are the reliable choice.
