Work out how quickly a floor scrubber pays for itself compared with mopping or a walk-behind machine you've outgrown — based on the floor area you clean, how long it currently takes, and what your labour actually costs. Frequently asked questions
How is the payback period calculated?
We work out your net dollar saving per clean (labour hours saved, valued at your hourly rate, minus any extra running cost for the new machine), multiply it out to a weekly saving, then divide the machine price by that weekly saving to get the number of weeks until the machine has paid for itself.
Where do I find a machine's cleaning rate?
Look for "cleaning path" or "productivity rate" in the specifications section of any floor scrubber product page — it's usually given in m²/hr. If you can't find it, call us and we'll pull it from the manufacturer spec sheet.
Does this include GST or finance costs?
No — the machine price and all savings figures are treated as GST-exclusive, and this calculator doesn't account for finance or lease repayments. If you're financing the machine, compare the payback period above with your repayment schedule to see how the cash flow lines up.
Is my data saved or sent anywhere?
No. Every calculation happens in your browser only — nothing you enter here is stored, saved, or sent to us or anyone else.
