Recover more oil and clear more chips between emptying
The Delfin DM 40 OIL is a single phase industrial vacuum for machine shops that remove oil, coolant and metal chips from machine tools. A sieve basket holds the chips while the liquid falls into a 60 litre tank, so you can clean sumps on larger machines, keep the oil for reuse and cut the cost of disposing of mixed waste.
What each feature does for your site
- Sieve basket grid for chips — chips are held in the basket and liquid falls into the tank, so oil and swarf are separated as you vacuum and the chips lift out for disposal.
- 60 litre liquid capacity and 40 litre solids capacity — a larger tank holds more per load, so you empty less often on bigger machines and longer cleaning jobs.
- Electric float device — suction is cut off electrically when the tank is full, so oil is kept out of the motor and the operator does not need to watch the level.
- 300 micron polypropylene filter for oil and chips separation — fine swarf is stopped before it reaches the tank, so the recovered oil is cleaner for reuse.
- Hydro-oil repellent filter, 500 mm diameter — the filter sheds oil rather than soaking it up, so airflow holds up when you are vacuuming oily material.
- Liquids discharge valve — oil is drained from the tank through a valve, so recovered oil goes back to the machine or a drum without tipping the unit.
- 3.45 kW motor, 2,500 mmH₂O and 540 m³/h — strong suction and airflow from a single phase supply, so it handles heavy chips and viscous oil from a 15 A outlet.
- Painted steel construction on wheels, 65 kg — the build suits daily shop use, so the unit moves between machines without a lift.
Choose your configuration
- Painted Steel Tank (Standard) — suits general oil and coolant recovery.
- Stainless Steel AISI 304 Tank — for fluids that attack painted steel, or where you want a tank that is easier to keep clean.
- Add Oil and Chips Accessories Kit — the ø50 accessories kit that Delfin recommends for oil and chips work.

Frequently asked questions
How does it separate oil from chips?
Chips are collected in a sieve basket inside the tank and the liquid falls through to the tank below. You lift the basket out to dispose of the chips and drain the oil through the discharge valve.
Can I reuse the recovered oil?
Delfin designs the oil and chips range so the separated liquid can go back into the machine. Check with your machine manufacturer that the oil or coolant is suitable for reuse before you do.
What is the difference between the DM 40 OIL and the MTL 802 OIL?
The DM 40 OIL has a 60 litre liquid tank, an electric float, a 3.45 kW motor and 540 m³/h airflow. The MTL 802 OIL is smaller and lighter, with a 50 litre liquid tank, a mechanical float and a 2.3 kW motor.
When should I choose the stainless steel tank?
Choose stainless steel if your coolant or cleaning fluids can corrode painted steel, or if you want a tank that is easier to wipe clean between fluids.
What power supply does it need?
It runs on 230 V single phase and draws 15 A, so it needs a 15 A circuit.
How much does freight cost?
