Does it matter if I use aftermarket bags and filters?

For bags, quality varies — cheaper aftermarket bags often release more fine dust on filling and emptying, and may not seal as effectively at the fitting connection. For HEPA filters, it matters significantly. Aftermarket filters frequently underperform the H13 or H14 standard the machine is rated to, even when the packaging claims otherwise.
